What do you receive with ORB-Up from ORBNET Systems?
ORB-Up is ORBNET Systems’ software maintenance and support package. It is included with every new ORBNET product purchase and helps keep your integration supported, compatible, and up to date throughout its active service period.
With an active ORB-Up agreement, you receive access to product updates, compatibility support, and priority technical assistance. This helps protect your software investment and ensures your ORBNET product continues to work effectively as your Milestone XProtect environment and related third-party systems evolve.

What is included?
Minimum 1 year of service
ORB-Up is included with all new product purchases for a minimum period of 1 year. A 3-year option is also available. ORB-Up pricing is based on a percentage of the total product value.
Compatibility support
ORB-Up helps maintain compatibility with supported Milestone XProtect releases and applicable third-party products.
Product updates and enhancements
With an active ORB-Up agreement, you can access eligible ORBNET product updates, including software patches, feature improvements, performance enhancements, and compatibility updates.
Priority support
Active ORB-Up customers receive priority technical support from ORBNET Systems, helping reduce downtime and resolve issues more efficiently.

Product support becomes limited after the ORB-Up expiry date. After this date, the ORBNET product version, supported Milestone XProtect versions, supported third-party product versions, and available updates are fixed as they were at the time of expiry.
Technical support may still be available, but only for the expired product version and with non-priority response times.
Why renew ORB-Up?
Renewing ORB-Up helps protect your ORBNET product investment and ensures continued access to support, updates, and compatibility improvements.
Without an active ORB-Up agreement, your system may be affected by:
• Reduced access to technical support.
• No access to new product features or enhancements.
• No access to new software patches after expiry.
• Limited compatibility with newer Milestone XProtect releases.

• Greater risk of disruption caused by outdated software.
Renewal ensures your ORBNET product remains eligible for future updates, support, and compatibility improvements.
After the initial ORB-Up period
ORB-Up is included for a minimum period of 1 year with new product purchases.
After the initial period, ORB-Up will renew in line with your agreed commercial terms unless you notify ORBNET Systems otherwise. Renewal reminders are sent in advance of the renewal date to help ensure uninterrupted access to updates and support.
Adding new devices or channels
Most ORBNET products use a base licence and channel licence model.
If you purchase additional channel licences, 1 year of ORB-Up is also included for the additional channels. This may update or extend your ORB-Up renewal date, depending on the product and commercial arrangement.
How to renew ORB-Up
To renew ORB-Up, contact ORBNET Systems or speak with your ORBNET account contact.

What happens if ORB-Up has already expired?
We understand that renewals can occasionally be missed.
If your ORB-Up agreement has expired, ORBNET Systems can provide a reinstatement quote. This will normally be calculated from the original expiry date up to the current date, plus a minimum 1-year ORB-Up renewal period.
Once reinstated, your ORB-Up agreement will provide access to eligible updates, support, and compatibility coverage again.
